730 words (approx. 2.9 pages) | 1 source | MLA | 2004

Paper Summary:

This paper examines how, in the future, organizations will find it difficult to make great advancements without first transforming its leadership. It looks at how leadership is recognized as the key for organizations to survive and how, today, many companies find it difficult to keep pace with change and all of the levels of doubt that follow. It explores how many factors have contributed to this situation, including the globalization of markets, instability of money, dispersal of information and technology, policies of government, quality improvements, and focus on adding value.

From the Paper:

"Leadership is looked upon as an important subject when implementing change with emphasis placed on vision and transformation. Vision is an important part of leadership, since it gives the leader direction and helps employees know where they fit in. It intensifies motivation and feelings of empowerment. A transformational leader thinks of the employee as a whole person and raises the level of behavior and ethical ambitions. A transformation changes the way we think about traditional ways of doing things. It is important these goals, vision and transformation, are communicated and incorporated in the organization's culture."
