In this respect, it has to manage the supply chain very efficiently and effectively in order to bring the products to the market in the shortest possible time. The industry is characterized by a considerable level of competitive rivalry in the form of price war. Therefore efficiency in the supply chain is a critical success factor. In this respect, the company follows the relationship based strategy in managing productivity of the channel partners. This means that long-term relationships with the suppliers are maintained because over time the suppliers have customized their production systems to align with that of the manufacturer. This enhances the efficiency of inventory management. However the level of efficiency in information sharing is still very limited. Therefore the proposed solution is to implement an e-commerce solution which will facilitate this process."
