"This study will provide a critical analysis of Peter E. Bull's "Posture and Gesture".Bull declares his general purpose immediately: "The purpose of this book is to present the results of a series of studies carried out by the author over a number of years, sharing a common focus on the role of posture and gesture in interpersonal communication".
Bull's study is unique in that it focuses on those two elements of nonverbal communication. He writes in clarification that "Posture is conventionally understood as referring to bodily position as distinct from bodily movements, which are customarily referred to as gestures" .
