"Should the user not agree with the terms of licensing agreement, he or she can click a box indicating so, thereby aborting the installation process. In most cases, given the length of the agreement and desire to use the product, the end user clicks the box without reading. Software licensing is in place to protect the copyright of the software by placing restrictions on the end user in relation to the product. Licensing agreements specify that duplication for purposes other than backup, installation on more than one computer, editing the code, or changing the program in any way is usually strictly forbidden by the agreement."
