"The word "Kerygma" originates from the Greek language that denotes an announcement, preaching or a proclamation (BAGD, 430-31). In the Erasmian pronunciation of Greek "which is commonly used at most university levels for ancient Greek, both biblical and classical" kerygma is pronounced as "kay-roog-ma." In this, the first "a" is long, while the last "a" is short. Related words include "kerux," meaning "herald, preacher," and "kerusso" which means, "to proclaim aloud, to announce, preach, make known" (BAGD, 431)."More papers on Kerygma:
