"Using what was learned from the interviews researchers in the future can conclude that parental involvement seems to play a part in academic success. Each of the students interviewed displayed normal desires to break away from parental involvement and each reported being unsuccessful in that endeavor. It shows those who examine the research question that there appears to be a correlation between parental support and academic success. In future studies it will be important to include students who are not academically successful to try and determine the impact family support has on academic success. It is important to determine if lack of support by family members has a negative impact on academic success as this will further strengthen the theory that support equals academic success. "
