From the Paper:

"At the heart of the human experience, many philosophers would argue, is the exercise of free will, which is to say the right of an individual to decide at every crossroad of their life what choices they will make regarding their private destiny. One of the most controversial of these decisions is the choice on the part of the individual regarding whether or not to medically end their own life in those cases where disease, age or other infirmity makes a lingering, painful death imminent and unavoidable. From the Greek term for "good death", euthanasia encompasses medical, ethical and religious issues (Otlowski, 1997). This research will examine both sides of the euthanasia debate in order to ultimately attempt to learn if there is indeed a correct answer to this issue."
