This paper introduces, summarizes and discusses David Held's article, "Democratic Accountability and Political Effectiveness from a Cosmopolitan Perspective". The paper explains that the article describes a new kind of political organization that forwards democracy, cooperation, and accountability in a global world order. The paper further explains that Held's primary argument is that globalization has transformed the way that the world interacts with itself; national bounds and powers are no longer as distinguishable as they once were.
