In this paper, various elements of allegory, personification, and Jung's archetype are analyzed. By analyzing Aesop's Fables and the folk tale "Rumpelstiltskin", one can realize how life's lessons are symbolically taught through allegory. Furthermore, the writer discusses that the personification of animals also helps to identify characteristics of Jung's archetypes through the size and behaviors of the characters represented in this stories. The writer maintains that this is how Jung's psychological theories interact with the figurative language analysis in folk tales and fables.
