"The enlisted men of Easy Company (and most of the officers too) were young and inexperienced, and yet it turned out there was no limit to what they were able to do, whether it be jumping out of an airplane wearing a football helmet to storming Hitler's Eagle's Nest, to defending a town in the Netherlands. This book could also be used to show young military enlisted men and officers how the battles of World War II were really a turning point in the 20th Century. If not for the battles fought by Easy Company and other men like them, it would be likely that we would not know the kind of democracy or standard of living that we know today. "
