The paper analyzes an article by Daniel Wann, Christina Bayans, and Allison Driver. They conducted a study entitled, "The likelihood of attending a sporting event as a function of ticket scarcity and team identification", which was published in Sport Marketing Quarterly. "Previous studies hypothesized that attendance would be based on the individual's identification with a particular team, and that ticket sales would be elevated if the individual responded to that team. This hypothesis was then considered in relation to the present study to discover if there was any correlation between the two hypothesis in determining ticket sales. To test the hypothesis the research team gathered 108 university students that agreed to participate in the research."
