1,487 words (approx. 5.9 pages) | 6 sources | APA | 2009 United States

Paper Summary:

In this article, the writer notes that in examining changes within an organization, such as those managers in the global economy, it is first necessary to understand the internal and external factors that initiate the change. The writer examines factors that drive change on a specific occasion. The research methods involved in this process include several theories of change management. These include Lewin's change management theory, theory of constraints, and work motivation theory. This analysis implements lessons learned in the research and elaborates them into the overarching conclusion. The writer concludes that in any situation involving global marketplaces, there may be tenets of multiple theories that should be considered when implementing change.

From the Paper:

"Other internal drivers of change include new company work-related tasks. This involves a multitude of issues including manpower, training, and implementation of a new goal system. Motivation will come into play when dealing with this internal driver, and theories and analysis such as Work Motivation Theory will drive that way situations are handled. Finally, internal drivers such as creating new working teams impact the overarching change of Synergistic Solutions, Inc. In recognizing this driver, it is absolutely vital for the leadership to implement tools such as team charter to achieve the work and ensure cohesion in the ranks.
"In a situation such as this, leadership must always think of the impact of decision-making on the workers first."
