Citing figures emanating primarily from the United States, Chidley notes the airline industry's consistent decline over the past several years and the added strain placed upon the industry post 9/11 with fears of terrorism via airliner. Though the United States and Canada share a border, business statistics relative to various industries should not be utilized when making pronouncements as to the potential success or failure of said industry."
