The writer presents an overview of Venezuela's cultural, legal, political, and economic situations and maintains that this may provide useful insights to Acme Industries in the areas of risk and benefit comparisons, initial planning phases, and decision-making strategies for future business interests. The writer concludes that with opportunities and risks in expanding business ventures, especially into an international market, Acme Industries will need to further their research, gather comparisons of financial forecast data, and develop a selection of reliable contacts in the proposed area before proceeding into the Venezuelan market.

From the Paper:

"The women of Venezuela have been expected to raise the children and take care of the home, while the men earned an income to provide for the family. The males are viewed as dominant and higher class, but until recent years, it has become more acceptable for women to enter, and even take leadership roles in the business world. Beauty and fashion are very important to the Venezuelans, particularly for women, so females in business roles should take extra care to always look their best. The business culture of Venezuela has many similarities to those of social functions and includes nepotistic behaviors. Even though there is wide separation in the status of classes and races, and women are just beginning to climb up the scale of equality, the citizens of Venezuela are extremely proud of their families, appearance, heritage, and traditions.
