"A young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing and wholesome food" (Swift). The audience is supposed to accept this fact as truth and Swift has manipulated his audience in advance to make it seem almost logical. From this point forward, his argument and justification of the plan become increasingly outrageous when read with a sensible eye. However, Swift uses the power of logic to make his truth here seem like the truth. "
